The Design

I designed a logo with spiritual elements like stars and moons, using bold, hand-drawn typography with vines extending out of the tarot cards to show wildness. The colour palette of deep reds and gold conveys mystery, power, wisdom, enlightenment, and spirituality.

The business card: designed to look like a tarot card, using a custom image of a woman depicting the high priestess, with the business name as the card name. To enhance the overall experience, I recommended matte cardstock with a gold foil finish for the logo and key design elements. This gives the business card a realistic tarot card feel, making it more memorable and collectible.

The designs perfectly balance mystical elements and wild aesthetics, making them both functional and visually striking. Creating a logo and business card that truly felt personal to the client was crucial. By focusing on the themes and elements that were most meaningful to the client’s practice, I was able to craft a brand identity that felt authentic to her vision.

The Project

A tarot reader wanted a bold, mystical logo and a business card that resembled a tarot card. She was looking for a modern, intricate design that was wild while maintaining the mystical essence of tarot. The specific request was to have two tarot cards with the business name and make it look wild.

With prior knowledge of tarot and a few decks on my shelf, it was easy to ask the client questions like, what's her tarot number, what card most resonates with her, and what kind of witch she is. With her answer being a green witch it made sense to go with the vines and greenery as her wild element in the logo.

Old Design

The Project

A registered massage therapist was seeking to have their business card and flyer redesigned to have a clean professional look to grow with their business. In the process of this redesign, I also offered branding to help the business have a cohesive look.

She preferred a light blue to be her primary logo colour, which is great for promoting the calming aspect of massage therapy and spa services. I added shades of lighter and darker blues to create contrast when using lighter and darker fonts and backgrounds. Compared to the blue and black that was previously used.

The Design

The older business card was designed like a flyer, squeezing a lot of information into a tiny space. I got rid of all the clutter and information overload and kept the important contact info to give a clean professional look. And moving all the service and business information to the flyer/cardstock. Adding rounded lines for separation to stay in line with the calm and relaxation of the brand.

The client was delighted with the results, the new design reflects the business's growth and shows professionalism. She now confidently gives out her card and is excited to promote her growing business.

The Project

The client owns an HVAC company specializing in services for residential clients. Their goal is to venture into providing services for luxury homes and commercial space. They wanted a logo and brand identity that conveyed trust, reliability, and expertise while standing out in a competitive market. He requested bold typography and a business card that looked luxurious with the logo in silver foil on a black card.

The HVAC industry is filled with businesses using similar imagery and colours so the challenge was to create something fresh. The client needed a logo that felt modern yet approachable, symbolizing both their technical expertise and their commitment to providing great customer service.

The Design

I researched symbols that represented HVAC services, most being the typical fire and ice. I then expanded my search to airflow, temperature, ducts, and an HVAC system blueprint. The client was extremely fond of the blueprint but we needed to convey that this was an HVAC and not a construction company. I added a temperature circle of trust with blue and red to represent a thermostat.

The final logo and branding successfully conveyed the company’s professional expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction. Mckeever HVAC now has a modern and cohesive visual identity that sets it apart from competitors. The business card, with its sleek design and attention to detail, is an effective tool that helps the client make a memorable impression.

Custom Flow Board Design

The Project

The client wanted a unique flow board design that incorporated key symbols of Filipino and Canadian culture, like the Filipino sun and stars, the maple leaf, and traditional elements of the nations like a tribal pattern representing protection. life, family, and strong bonds. All while integrating an Avengers-inspired aesthetic. They also wanted their children's names on the board, and being they all started with A they are the A-TEAM.

The Design

The goal was to take all the pieces the client threw at me and make them cohesive. I created a smooth, flowing layout that blended the two flags. Guiding the viewer through the cultural elements before tying everything together with the core family; the A-Team. Using the Avengers-style font, and some comic-style brush strokes for the flags, both themes were easily meshed with the blue, red, and yellow/gold. The design is meant to feel like a visual journey, much like the journey of family and heritage.

The final flow board design is a vibrant, meaningful piece that proudly showcases the client's family story and cultural pride, all while adding a playful nod to the superhero world they love.

Package Design

The Project

Cheer Bears is a new brand specializing in gourmet gummy bears with minimal sugar. Their product combines the fun of gummy bears with the celebration of lifes special moments. Offering a unique treat for adults who are mindful of their sugar intake but still want to indulge in a fun, flavorful experience.

The client needed,  vibrant, engaging branding with a clean simple wordmark logo. They wanted a package that conveyed exactly what the product is without even having to read it. The key challenge was to create a brand identity that balanced the playful, nostalgic appeal of gummy bears with the premium, sophisticated nature of champagne gummies.

The Design

The logo was designed as a wordmark with a mature yet fun font. Using the B to represent the gummy bear the bottom half being its little nubby paw. The color palette had to evoke fun, I chose vibrant, inviting tones like a muted neon green and cool orange. The package needs to visually communicate what the product is at first sight. The design became the obvious; a champagne bottle pouring gummy bears into a flute. I added confetti to display the “cheer” and celebration aspect of Cheer Bears.

The final logo, branding, and packaging design successfully communicated the playful yet mature nature of Cheer Bears gummies. The logo and colors reflect a modern, fun aesthetic, while the packaging design stands out on shelves, drawing attention to the product’s unique value proposition: fun without guilt.

Movie Poster Design

Personal Project

The Project

This personal project was a way for me to reflect on a challenging time in my life. It was a cathartic exercise, kind of a visual form of journaling. I decided to create a movie poster that told the story of my situation, with the underlying theme of hope and the belief that things would eventually fall into place.

The design is a composite of three images that represent key aspects of my journey: me (depicted as the woman with her daughter), the situation (a long road under heavy clouds, symbolizing uncertainty), and the future (a vibrant sunrise, representing hope and new possibilities).

It was a magical experience bringing these three photos together into one cohesive image. It felt like a visual manifestation of my emotions and hopes, without needing to write them down. Looking back on this project now, it's amazing to see how things worked out just like the storyline I envisioned.
